Bored of my blog

by Kate, via prettybooks

Lately, I've found myself bored of my blog. Not that I'm bored of having a blog, but I think oodles of books. has sorta gotten boring...you know? I post almost every day but its the same posts week after week. Sometimes after a while, I switch up the meme's a bit, but now that doesn't seem to cut it for me. So I have decided to do something different. Not too different but every once in a while I'm going to throw in a random post (like this one) and it will all be book related. For example, I have never done Author Interviews (o_O) I know right? Those are always awesome to read and I like seeing them on other blogs but for some reason I never thought I would be up to it. Now, I plan to do a few a month and you can see a new tab for it up there^ (hopefully!) I already have my first one set up and ready to go (I just need to post up my review!)

Speaking of reviews, I only post like one a week. My blog is for reviews and yet, I don't write too many. I have plenty of books to read and review so I am going to definitely focus on getting those out. There are also a few other post ideas I have as well. I love book jewelry posts that pop up sometimes in the blogosphere, so I might post a few of those. I also love photography and pictures of books are some of my favorite. Two of my favorite blogs always posts up awesome book pictures and I'll probably do a "Daily Dose" sort of for those, every couple of days or something.

Anyways, I don't want to talk too long cause I know that most won't read this. And its sort of weird that I decided to make this announcement anyways. But if you have any suggestions that would be awesome and appreciated :) Hope y'all are having a great week!

  1. I can relate with being bored with the blog. Well maybe not so bored not too sure what direction you want it to go in. I thought I would write more reviews but I only write one or two a month. I've just come to realize that I blog when I feel like it and when I don't feel like it, I don't. Some weeks I only post one or two times and I've learned to be ok with it. I think you just need to decide what you think it acceptable. Blogging should be fun, first and foremost.

I know that sometimes I get discouraged when I don't have very many comments. It makes me wonder if anyone is even reading what I am putting out there. They are. I know I read a lot of posts and don't comment a lot, so others must be doing the same.

Good luck to you and whatever direction you take your blogging.
