Wait, what? I thought the old interface was going for sure in April? I'm wondering if they are changing their mind about it now. I like the old one better for the most part. I have gotten used to the new one by now but I am wondering if they are actually going to change it for real. What do you think? Do you have any other news or information about it?

I changed as soon as it came out since I knew they would probably change it eventually.
ReplyDeleteMine changed to the new one unexpectedly and after floundering around for about a half an hour I realized it's actually not that hard to use lol.
ReplyDeleteI think there's mixed feelings on it (from what I've heard) but I actually kinda like it better. It combines google analytics with blogger so just by looking at a list of my blog posts I can see how many views each one has gotten, which is pretty cool.
Also, to tell you about book blasts, it's just a one day thing for a book. My friend Megan from Book Brats told me about it and I decided to do one. Seems pretty cool and it was easy to set up. :)

You know, despite the design being outdated and crowded, I prefer the old interface. It was more intuitive, for me. Little things, like being unable to create a new post FROM the new post, because it removes the navigation, and bugs in the editor, ALONG with the fact that it reset my editor preferences, irritate me. I LOVE whitespace. I'm a fan. But there is such a thing as TOO much white space. I don't think the new interface uses page real estate effictively. On the other hand, along with Jenny, there are things I like--like the stats. They're good! :)
ReplyDeleteI hate change!!! Mine was just different one day. It took me forever to get used to it, but I am finally used to it:)
ReplyDeleteI switched to the new one as soon as it was offered because I figured I needed to get used to it (and for a little while, I switched back to the old one any time I couldn't figure something out -- I'm all set now). I'm assuming it's sticking around a little longer because people complained/had issues, so they're giving everyone more time to adjust. I'm sure it'll just randomly disappear one day soon though...
ReplyDeleteI'm still with the old interface and I'm going to keep going with it until I can't anymore. I don't mind change but I really like the old interface so I'm going to keep going until it's no longer available. I'm hoping they change their minds and keep it forever if we want to use it.
ReplyDeleteI just changed back to the old one the other day too. I love it much, much more. I'm already a bit slow when it comes to how certain things work so the new one was confusing me. I really hope they just keep the old one, or have it be an option. I mean, why not have both? It's really just a personal preference anyway, right? LOL

I'm just confused and hope that they don't change anything!!
ReplyDeleteAll of my blogger accounts got the change. I hated it at first but I think it's growing on me. Which is scary cause it's ugly! A few things are still hard to find, but like any change it's going to take some getting use to... I had no problems with the old interface though :\
