Authors Are Our Celebrities: Have you ever contacted
an author you admired? How did that experience go? If not, which author would you love to have a chat with?
To be honest, I have not contacted to many authors for the blog. I am ridiculously shy and awkward and I always feel like they wouldn't have the time for me BUT a few weeks ago I did contact two different authors. I asked to interview them and they said yes so I was super excited about the whole thing.
I also once had an author contact me! She offered me a copy of her book and even signed it. I almost died of happiness. It took me a while to read it, but when I did it became one my favorites. Thank you ♥
I do have a Twitter account but I am not as active on it as I wish I was. I have a hard time even talking to other bloggers, so I haven't really talked to any authors either.
On the other hand, I have met TONS of authors (yes, I am about to show off :D but I might miss a few because I can't remember all):

They were ALL awesome, really nice and super talkative. They are celebrities to me and I forget they are real people who are really happy I am reading/buying/loving their books. I have also interviewed quite a few authors due to blog tours, including Lisa Jewell, Brian Rowe and Jamie Manning. Check out the whole list here.
Of course, there are hundreds more I would love to meet...to name a few: J.K. Rowling, Jennifer Crusie, Vicki Lewis Thompson, Tiffanie DeBartolo (mentioned above), Stephenie Meyer, Nicholas Sparks, Julia Quinn, Lori Foster, Courtney Summers, Kendare Blake, Sarah Dessen + more! I am going to ALA this weekend (possibly starting today) and will certainly get to meet more :D
Oh wow, you've met a lot of authors. I want to meet Jennifer Crusie, Julia Quinn, Sarah Dessen too. I met Meg Cabot and I was as giddy as a schoolgirl. She's so sweet too!
