Weekly Recap (and a two book haul)

Jul 8, 2012

Hello there friends! I usually wait until Sunday night to post this recap up because I spend my weekend with my family, friends, etc. I had a good weekend and I hope everyone did too. By the way, did you have a fun 4th of July (fellow U.S. residents :D)? Mine was quiet. I watched some fireworks on a hill near my house with my mom, brother and boyfriend, but otherwise spent it at home :)

I only got a very small pile of books this week and they all came from the library but, I read most of them and they are all back at the library, so I will share the one book that still sits on my desk, patiently waiting to be read. I also got a free e-book from Amazon...
Hourglass by Myra McEntire (Library)
Flirting with Ruin by Marguerite Kate (Amazon - Free)
I read The Forest of Hands and Teeth a few years back and I didn't like it as much. I started reading it again this weekend and I think I am enjoying it more. I decided to re-read it so I could start The Dead-Tossed Waves and hopefully like and finish the series. I also plan to get through The Demon Catchers of Milan this week also, and since I am participating in a read-a-thon for a few days, I might finish all three.
Boys Over Flowers, Vol. 6 by Yoko Kamio
Boys Over Flowers, Vol.7 by Yoko Kamio
Boys Over Flowers, Vol.8 by Yoko Kamio
Boys Over Flowers, Vol.9 by Yoko Kamio
+ Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone by Kat Rosenfield

Like I mentioned above, I did get a few books at the library, but they were all manga which I happened to read very quickly. I also got another book read in between. Hopefully this week will be just as successful xD

So that was the past week here! This week might be full of read-a-thon posts, but I plan to squeeze in a review or two in there also. There are also a few other posts I want to write up but have held off for months (ex. L.A. Festival of Books recap, etc.) I am going to the Pitch Dark Tour on Tuesday and will be meeting some awesome authors this week also! Hope everyone has a fantastic week :)

  2. Actually Book two is a companion to the forest of hands and teeth Not a sequel it's with a different protagonist as is book three

  3. You read Boys Over Flowers? Cool :) I watched the drama, but apparantly, the manga is better.
