Sunday Post #2

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I was hoping to read more than I did this week, but unfortunately that did not happen. I did somehow manage to find myself in the middle of 6 books. I put a few on hold, and am slowly working through the rest, but I am enjoying all of them. Also, I am pretty happy that I have been posting regularly.

I really liked this feature last week, and I found a few new blogs. After going through my blog feed I noticed that a lot of the blogs I used to follow are inactive and so I am looking forward to finding more blogs now that are active, as well.

On my blog this week:
- Review | Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally
- Blog Tour + Giveaway! | The Duke of Defiance by Darcy Burke
- Review | Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
- Review | You Know Me Well by Nina LaCour & David Leviathan

Currently reading:
- The Duke of Defiance by Darcy Burke
- The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
- A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
- Boys Over Flowers, Vol.1
- Bang by Barry Lyga
- A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

Finished reading:
Nothing! :(

YouTube: I finally uploaded a new video on my YT channel today as well, sharing my Summer TBR even though were almost a month into the summer. I wanted to upload it sooner but wasn't able to.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday and week. Happy reading :D

  1. Sorry you didn't get to read as many books as you wanted. Let's hope you read some more books this week!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!

  2. I'm going to have to check out your booktube channel. Hope you get some great things read this week. I'm such a one-at-a-time reader that some weeks are slower than others. Feel free to check out Booker T's Farm!

  3. Hallo, Hallo!

I'm visiting through the blog hop via #TheSundayPost - as I started to participate in the meme overnight! I am looking forward to adding my digest journal to the hop each week - therefore, this is happily my first visit to your blog!

Loved finding out you had a vlog (via #booktube) awaiting me! I love watching #booktube as I find it's another way of those of us who are bookish can share our bookish lives! Whether we tweet, bookstagram, vlog or blog - we're all sharing our bookish lives with everyone else! Rock on!

Also! I understand how you can have books on your personal library shelves which go unread for longer than you'd like to admit possible! I think we all go through this in cycles; we love to gather & collect stories but sometimes we get distracted (ie. by life, by other stories, or (insert) circumstances) which lengthens the time we have to soak inside them!

Like you, I do appreciate Contemporary stories (even in YA) but I'm so very particular about which ones I read! I was encouraged by the authors your talking about - I only wished there had been a list under your vlog on your blog afterwards for quick reference... maybe it's on YT? I'll check! No, sadly no list. :( I'll just hit 'replay' to get the titles!

To All The Boys I've Loved Before this book AND author is on my own TBR! Love seeing how some of us are still just getting into her stories this year or are still waiting to read them!

Ooh, an anthology? Summer Days, Summer Nights perked my attention as I personally LOVE anthologies! I'm quite mad for SFF editions and/or INSPY Roms but this? This looks quite lovely! Thank you for mentioning it!!

Yes! A Little Something Different and The Sun is Also a Star are on my radar to read, too! Sarah Dessen was recently rec'd to me by Savanah - definitely an author I want to read as soon as I sort out which one to start with first!

Never apologise - sometimes we are mood readers - if you want stories on the fluffier side or the light-hearted side or even the comedic - there is nothing wrong with that! :) We read to uplift our spirits and enjoy the characters & worlds we meet - there is no right or wrong way to read!! :)

So happy to have found you via #TheSundayPost! Going to be following you via Twitter! You can visit me this week via Visit my Sunday Post!
