Sunday Post #4

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Hello and welcome (or welcome back!) It was a quiet week around here since I only posted two things, an Unfinished Reads #4 where I share the latest DNF's, and a review of Carry On by Rainbow Rowell, but that was mostly because I spent a lot of time fixing stuff here and there. I gave my blog a bit of a face lift by adding a new header and creating new post buttons. I feel pretty proud of all these. I am also still fixing up posts that got messed from my Blogger to Wordpress to Blogger and that is pretty time consuming, but I am slowly making my way through them all.

With my revamping, I have decided to bring back older features, such as Manga Monday and Book VS. Movie because I used to really enjoy sharing those. I also became addicted to Podcasts this week, and with that, have been listening to Levar Burton Reads, which contains a short story for every episode. So I think I might bring back my Short Story Saturday's, as well, even though I haven't written up a post like that in years. Also, I am going to be starting a new set of reviews for book series. I usually review books on an individual basis, but after reading and finishing off a few series these past few months, I really want to be able to review the books together and as a series as a whole, so I am already working on that.

In other news, I also spent some time looking through some of my older, favorite blogs and some new-to-me blogs and was happy to find several to because a new follower. It makes me sad, still, to see so many of the blogs I used to follow are now inactive and I sort of feel like a newbie again because most of the bloggers I used to see around here no longer spend time blogging. I'd love to check out your blog, so leave me a comment with a link :)

I haven't uploaded any videos on my channel but I feel like I still needed a break. I had a good time vlogging and uploading videos during the Booktubeathon but then I sort of felt burnt out. Also, editing is quite the drag. Luckily, I recently found about Perfect Video, an iOS app that lets me edit videos right from my phone. I was surprised at how easy it was to use, how many features it has, and I was able to edit a few videos really quickly last night. Now that I have found that app, I think editing will be less of a hassle and I'll be uploading videos regularly (like I used to.)

Currently Reading:

I had a ton of books I was in the middle of when August began, and I really was planning on finishing them off. But I got caught up with a series (which I binge read and finished) and did manage to sneak in a few other books, but then I started reading It by Stephen King. My boyfriend surprised me with the paperback copy I'd been searching for, and instead of attempting to finish my current reads, I put everything aside and have been giving it my whole attention. I'm only a little over a hundred pages in, but if I keep going at that pace, I should finish it before the movie *finger crossed.* That's the only book I think I've gotten this past week(ish), as well. I've been really good about not buying books so I don't have any to share. I'm still not sure if I'll add in my hauls to these posts but it's mostly because I am too lazy to take pictures or go around searching. I do upload haul videos regularly on my YT channel so I will always link those in case you guys want to check those out.

I know this was more of a venting and updating post instead of sharing bookish news, but I felt like sharing all that with everyone. I hope everyone has a great Sunday! Happy reading :)

  3. I feel the same way whenever there are blogs I used to follow constantly and then they suddenly disappear from the face of the Earth. It's quite sad when that happens.
